Role Overview
:

You are “sales” driven individual interested in either developing your sales career within a young and dynamic team; or beginning a new sales career within the travel industry.

You are passionate about selling and “closing the deal.” You ‘live’ to travel, you have sales and travel destination knowledge, and you are motivated in selling a dream villa holiday experience. In that regard, you are dedicated and driven to research product, services and destinations so as to meet and exceed client expectations.

If this describes you, then you may wish to consider joining our team of Villa Specialists at Luxury Retreats.

The successful incumbent will work directly with our clientele, and will report to one of our Sales & Concierge Services Managers.

The key responsibilities, qualifications and attributes of the candidates we wish to attract are listed below.

  • Interface with clients and suppliers from the client’s initial contact with Luxury Retreats, through to the time of villa reservation. This includes finding an appropriate villa; responding to client questions; preparing the initial contract; collecting payment; offering travel insurance; and post-travel client follow-up
  • Meet and-or exceed sales and service ‘targets’
  • Provide an exceptionally high level of customer service
  • Develop relations with new and existing clientele and travel partners
  • Follow-up on a timely basis regarding inquiries, sale and satisfaction levels
  • Develop and provide sound knowledge of our villas & destinations

 

 

  • Passionate and well versed in travelling and travel destination knowledge is preferred.
  • Experienced agents will bring 3-5+ years of travel industry specific sales experience and destination knowledge.
  • B to C (business to customer) phone sales and-or suggestive selling experience considered a strong asset.
  • Proven selling and closing skills, with the natural ability to overcome objections. An overriding sense of urgency and a competitive spirit towards achievement of targets.
  • Proven organizational skills which are reflected in effective prioritizing, multitasking, follow-up and ultimate delivery upon commitments.
  • Ability to function in a predominantly English speaking environment and therefore excellent oral and written communication skills in English is required French and especially Spanish language skills considered a very strong asset and preferred. Additional foreign language knowledge spoken and written is a very strong asset.
  • Sound computer proficiency and strength with MS office tools required must be “techno savvy”. Experience with CRM is a distinct advantage.
  • Comfortable navigating multiple computer systems simultaneously. Familiarity with Google, MapQuest, Trip Advisor, Kayak etc. considered an asset.
  • University degree in Business Administration or related field preferred Travel related diploma considered an asset.

 

 

  • Travel experience and destination knowledge is preferred and considered strong asset.
  • Sales driven and interested to begin a sales career with focus on luxury travel product and services and international destinations.
  • Motivated to learn and teach about new destinations, cultures, and customs and tourist offerings. Substantial knowledge regarding particular destinations and have travelled quite extensively is a strong asset and preferred.
  • Professional demeanor, maturity, and natural business acumen with exceptionally high level of customer service. •Highly self-motivated with “entrepreneurial spirit.”
  • Excellent consulting skills with a flair for developing effective relationships, persuading others, and building trust.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Adept at asking questions and actively listening.
  • Results-oriented self-starter who adapts well to a changing environment.
  • Resourceful, disciplined, and independent character with strong initiative and excellent problem-solving skills. Requires minimal supervision.
